Marine ship airbags are also known as air balloon, inflatable bags, roller bags, air lifting bags, salvage bags. Airbags now are used for ship launching, loading, and floating. They are widely used in cargo boat/ship/vessel launching and landing, lifting and moving sunken ships, and salvaging stranded boats. Air bags have the benefit of not only saving labor and time, but investment costs. Additionally they are flexible, portable, and dependable. Therefore, airbags are widely used in slipping of ships and boats of all sizes.
Ship launching or upgrading relying on air-bags is an innovative technology having promising prospect in shipbuilding. It overcomes the shortcomings of the fixed launching track, which limits the productive capability of the small and medium sized shipyards. Now it has become a Flexible Launching Technology, having the merits of time and labor saving, flexibility, reliability and safety in operation and comprehensive economic benefits etc.
The air bag consists of an air bag’s body and ends of iron pieces. The wall of air bag consists of rubber layer and curtain cloth layer after the process of forming and vulcanization. At both ends of the air bag, there are two air bag mouths through which air can be pumped into or released from the air bag. The air bag mouths are made of metal materials and are closely combined with the body of the air bag into one.
